When I was turning my PC on, WinXp Pro O.S. a message
"Some file is missing or corrupted in c:/windows/system32/system"
I tried to restart from Win XP cd, but all the options ask me to format my HDD (loosing all what I have there) and re-installing WinXP!
What can I do to restore my system without loosing my data and not having to reinstall all the soft? |
mmm, your operative sistem is dead... windows sux anyways. but, you must save your files sooo... you should reinstall windows, is the easiest choice becouse look for another disc like Gorehide says is very hard if you dont have...
you wont loose your data, i warranty that. just dont format your disc, only reinstall your windows...
i have a little question, have you tried to use a boot disc to view your files??? if you cant, probably your hard disc is dead... and your files too...
well well, if you dont want to reinstall, i dont think it will be easy to recover your data... but you can try using some utility like Norton to restore your SO, but... if there is a file missing in c:/windows/system32/system your system needs reinstalation.
