. I see some of you are having problems , with exterior images first I think Insight is very powerful and very simple. I did read that some one wanted to get nice results fast. well it will only take you a few hours to see all the parameter that Insight has. so do some work and just see what the parameter do. I have got very nice results from Insight and exterior projects. here are my suggestions. 1.- First don't use the default settings ! 2.- Color and Intensity of light: a.-Open the Insight Daylight Setting. b.-uncheck Auto. and set color to Hue:30 , Sat:15, Value:255 (to start you can tweak color later, I just don't like the yellowish standard color) c.-Set Sun Light Color to 0 lux (for now.) d.-Set Sky Zenith Luminance to 50000 nit (for now) few comments on accuracy and mesh subdivision the default accuracy of 20 wont get you nice results but will give you the general lighting level and the default subdivision wont give you the detail you might want. I usually do the first test at the default settings just to get the overall lighting levers, but you have to let it run to 1-2% to get nice shadow (dirt like result) and of course nice subdivision. ok, lets continue with the lights values. by setting the sun to 0 you can adjust the sky for the overall lighting level also will help with the shadow darkness some of you were commenting. do a test with the 50000 skylight value and work from there increasing it usually to get the overall level you want. after you get the desire overall sky lighting you might want to run it a little longer 5-10% and much lower subdivide it and you will get a nice sky light and soft lighting, after that you can start to increase the sun levels, you can start with 30000 or so and make test. this way you can balance the sky light and sunlight levels. I don't know if the default are correct or not, but I have always modify them. here are some examples renderings. upps, just find out I cant post any.. well at integras site are some of my images also at my old web page www.evvisual.com and at the new company I work for now. www.screampoint.com feel free to ask any more questions. hope you all got the idea. :D |
