AxesInMotion is a young company based in Sevilla. We are in a constant growing since we started in 2014. Up to date we have launched more than 30 games for the mobile market.
After reaching more than 100 million of downloads worldwide we are excited develooping a new project which success we want to share with you. The key aspect of this project is the increase of quality compared to other previous company products.
Were looking for a Lead Technical Artist to join our team.
As Technical Artist, youll be responsible for building our game worlds and escenarios, ensuring an optimal use of the available resources. You will have to weigh betwen performance and visual quality, ensuring that both goals are met regarding the expectations from our players and stakeholders. Our team works with Unity 5 Engine, so besides being able to quickly adapt to new technologies and engines, the positions requires an extensive knowledge of Unity environment, especially in regards to the shader/material system, light setups, performance optimization and particle effects.
Minimum requirements.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as artist in the games industry
A minimum of 1 year of experience as technical artist in the game industry
Extensive experience in Unity Engine, including light setup, Shader creation (mobile customized oriented) and optimization, Particle systems, is a must*
Experience with shaders/material and complex shader/material configurations
Comprehensive knowledge of 3D applications such as Autodesk 3D Studio Max, Autodesk Maya, ZBrush, V-ray, Adobe Photoshop, Allegorithmic Substance Painter
Demonstrable experience with technical documentation (creation, update, etc)
Able to manage a 7-10 people team
A passion for video games.
Desired requirements.
University degre or equivalent in Art
Comprehensive knowledge of ZBrush and Allegorithmic Substance pack
Experience with mobile projects development
Experience with other Game Engines, such as Unreal*
At least 1 shipped A computer or consoles game*
Experience in modelling, texturing, rigging and animation
God communication skills in English and Spanish.
Duties.
Using technical and creative skills to create and compose game scenes of exceptional quality
Creating, managing and optimizing the Unity Engine material shaders within a project
Review and correct 3D assets to optimize visual and performance aspects
Setup, render and optimize the light setup for game maps
Finding ways and optimize the art pipeline to deliver the visual quality set by the art director, production director and studio director.
